Terms of Service
01Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using StormMic (available at stormmic.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the service.
These terms apply to all visitors, users, and anyone who accesses or uses StormMic. By creating an account or using any part of the platform — including the free trial — you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into this agreement on behalf of yourself or your organization.
Your continued use of StormMic after any modification to these terms constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
02Description of Service
StormMic is an AI-powered SaaS platform that generates ready-to-air radio weather broadcast scripts and delivers them as WAV audio files. The platform is designed for radio station meteorologists, on-air talent, and broadcast professionals who need fast, professional-quality weather content for their broadcasts.
The core service includes:
- AI-generated weather broadcast scripts tailored to your market and format
- Synthesized voice audio delivered as downloadable WAV files
- Access to weather data through integrated third-party providers
- Script and audio generation management through the StormMic web dashboard
Access to StormMic requires an active paid subscription (or a free trial as described in Section 4). Features and generation limits vary by plan tier. StormMic reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue any feature of the service with reasonable notice.
03Subscription Plans & Billing
StormMic offers the following subscription plans:
| Plan | Monthly | Annual | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $39 / mo | $34 / mo | Smaller markets, limited daily cuts |
| Pro | $99 / mo | $87 / mo | Mid-market stations with regular output |
| Storm | $169 / mo | $149 / mo | High-volume stations and active weather markets |
| Signature | $350 / mo | $308 / mo | Real meteorologist, up to 5 stations |
| Signature Auto | $350 / mo | $308 / mo | AI-automated delivery to broadcast systems via FTP/SFTP |
Annual billing is available at a 12% discount (equivalent to one month free). Annual prices are billed as a single payment at the start of each 12-month period.
All subscriptions are billed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. By subscribing, you authorize StormMic to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the then-current rate for your plan.
StormMic reserves the right to adjust pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice. If you disagree with a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect.
04Free Trial
StormMic offers a 4-day free trial that includes up to 4 AI weather broadcast generations. A valid credit card is required to start the trial. Your card will not be charged during the trial period unless you subscribe to a paid plan before the trial ends.
Free trial terms:
- One free trial per email address — trials are non-transferable
- A valid credit card must be provided at sign-up to activate the trial
- Trial generations do not carry over to a paid plan
- Creating multiple accounts to obtain additional free trials (including by deleting and re-registering with the same or similar email addresses) is prohibited and may result in permanent account suspension
- StormMic reserves the right to verify trial eligibility and deny access where abuse is suspected
At the end of your trial period, access to generation features will be paused until you subscribe to a paid plan. Your account and any generated content remain accessible. If you do not subscribe, your card will not be charged.
05Acceptable Use
StormMic is intended exclusively for legitimate radio broadcast and related media use. By using the service, you agree to the following usage terms:
- Broadcast use only. StormMic content — scripts and audio files — is licensed for on-air radio and broadcast use. Non-broadcast commercial use is not permitted without express written consent from StormMic.
- No reselling. You may not resell, sublicense, redistribute, or white-label StormMic's output or platform access to third parties.
- No automated scraping. Automated querying, scraping, or bulk downloading of StormMic content through scripts, bots, or third-party tools is prohibited.
- Single station use. Each account is licensed for use by one radio station, except for the Signature and Signature Auto plans, which permit use across up to five (5) stations under the same ownership or corporate group.
- Account security. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Sharing account access outside your licensed station(s) is not permitted.
- No unlawful use. You may not use StormMic for any purpose that violates applicable laws, FCC regulations, or broadcast standards.
StormMic reserves the right to investigate suspected violations and to suspend or terminate accounts found to be in breach of these acceptable use policies.
06AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
StormMic's weather broadcast scripts and audio files are generated using artificial intelligence. While we strive to produce accurate, broadcast-quality content, AI-generated scripts may contain errors, inaccuracies, or outdated information. All AI-generated content is provided on an "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" basis without any warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose.
Specifically, you acknowledge and agree that:
- AI-generated weather scripts may not reflect the most current conditions or forecasts
- Weather data integrated into scripts is sourced from third-party providers (including NWS and Tomorrow.io) and is provided without warranty of accuracy or timeliness
- Scripts must be reviewed by a qualified meteorologist or experienced broadcaster before airing when accuracy is critical
- StormMic assumes no responsibility for broadcasting decisions made based on its AI-generated content
- Use of StormMic content on-air is at your sole discretion and risk
- StormMic does not guarantee that AI-generated content is suitable for broadcast without human review
- You are responsible for determining whether FCC or other regulatory disclosure is required when broadcasting AI-generated or AI-voiced content in your jurisdiction
StormMic is a productivity and content-generation tool. It does not replace the professional judgment of a licensed meteorologist.
07ElevenLabs Voice
The synthesized voice audio delivered by StormMic is powered by ElevenLabs voice technology. The voices used on the platform are licensed by StormMic through ElevenLabs' commercial licensing terms.
Under your active StormMic subscription:
- Commercial broadcast use of ElevenLabs-synthesized audio is permitted
- You may broadcast the generated WAV audio files on-air as part of your radio programming
- The voice license is tied to your StormMic subscription — if your subscription lapses, the commercial use license for previously generated audio may no longer apply
- You may not extract, modify, or use the underlying voice model for any purpose outside of StormMic
ElevenLabs retains all intellectual property rights in the underlying voice synthesis technology. StormMic's license to you is limited to use of the finished audio output as described above.
08Intellectual Property & Ownership
Ownership of the various elements involved in the StormMic service is allocated as follows:
- StormMic owns: The StormMic platform, website, source code, algorithms, user interface design, documentation, trademarks, and brand assets. All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by StormMic.
- You own: Your station name, call letters, custom intro/outro text, and any other original content you provide to StormMic as inputs for script generation. You retain all rights in these materials.
- AI-generated output: The weather broadcast scripts and WAV audio files generated by StormMic are licensed (not sold) to you for broadcast use only while your subscription is active. This license is non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable upon termination of your subscription.
By using StormMic, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process the station inputs you provide (such as station name, call letters, ZIP code, and custom text) solely for the purpose of generating your weather broadcast output. We do not claim ownership of your inputs.
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the StormMic platform
- Extract, copy, or attempt to replicate any voice models, AI models, or algorithms used by the service
- Remove or alter any proprietary notices, trademarks, or branding from StormMic content or the platform
- Use StormMic's brand name or trademarks without prior written consent
09Warranty Disclaimer (AS-IS)
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Without limiting the foregoing, StormMic does not warrant that:
- The service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
- The results obtained from the service will be accurate, reliable, or complete
- Weather data sourced from the National Weather Service (NWS), Tomorrow.io, or any other provider will be accurate, current, or available at all times
- AI-generated scripts or audio files will be suitable for broadcast without review and editing by qualified personnel
- The service will meet your specific requirements or expectations
- Any defects in the service will be corrected within any particular timeframe
You use StormMic at your own risk. No advice or information, whether oral or written, obtained from StormMic or through the service creates any warranty not expressly stated in these Terms.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so the above exclusions may not apply to you in full. In such jurisdictions, StormMic's warranties are limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
10Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless StormMic, its owner, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the StormMic service or any content generated through it
- Content you broadcast using StormMic output, including any claims related to inaccurate weather information aired on your station
- Your violation of these Terms of Service
- Your violation of any applicable law, FCC regulation, broadcast standard, or third-party right (including intellectual property rights)
StormMic will notify you promptly of any claim subject to indemnification and will provide reasonable cooperation in the defense of such claim at your expense. StormMic reserves the right, at its own expense, to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter otherwise subject to indemnification by you.
11Termination
Cancellation by you: You may cancel your subscription at any time from the My Account tab in your StormMic dashboard or by contacting support@stormmic.com. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, and you will retain access to the service through that date.
Suspension or termination by StormMic: We reserve the right to suspend or permanently terminate your account at our discretion if:
- You violate any provision of these Terms of Service
- We detect abuse, fraud, or misuse of the platform (including trial abuse)
- Your payment fails and is not resolved within a reasonable timeframe
- We are required to do so by law or regulation
Upon termination for cause, access to the service ends immediately. StormMic will make reasonable efforts to notify you via email before taking action, except in cases of serious or repeated violations where immediate suspension is warranted.
Upon any termination, provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive (including limitations of liability, warranty disclaimers, indemnification, arbitration, and governing law) will continue to apply.
12Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StormMic, its owner, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:
- Loss of revenue, profits, or business opportunity
- Reputational harm arising from on-air broadcast of AI-generated content
- Data loss or service interruptions
- Errors or inaccuracies in weather forecasts or scripts
- Regulatory or FCC penalties arising from broadcast decisions
In no event shall StormMic's total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to your use of the service exceed the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to StormMic in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred dollars ($100).
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so the above limitations may not apply to you in full.
13Dispute Resolution & Arbitration
Informal Resolution. Before initiating any formal dispute proceeding, you agree to first contact StormMic at support@stormmic.com and attempt to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days. Most disputes can be resolved through direct communication.
Binding Arbitration. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within the 30-day period, you and StormMic agree that any remaining dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. Arbitration will be conducted in the State of Indiana. The arbitrator's decision will be final and binding and may be entered as a judgment in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Class Action Waiver. YOU AND STORMMIC AGREE THAT EACH PARTY MAY BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims and may not preside over any form of class or representative proceeding.
Small Claims Exception. Notwithstanding the above, either party may bring an individual action in small claims court for disputes that qualify under the applicable court's jurisdictional limits.
Opt-Out. You may opt out of the arbitration and class action waiver provisions within thirty (30) days of first accepting these Terms by sending a written notice to support@stormmic.com with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out." Your notice must include your full name, email address associated with your StormMic account, and a clear statement that you decline the arbitration agreement. If you opt out, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts in Indiana as set forth in the Governing Law section.

Please note that the ElevenLabs voice models and synthesis technology used by StormMic are licensed intellectual property. These voice models may not be extracted, reproduced, or used outside of the StormMic platform under any circumstances.
15Signature Auto — Automation Delivery Terms
The Signature Auto plan provides automated delivery of generated WAV audio files directly to your broadcast automation system via FTP or SFTP. The following additional terms apply to Signature Auto subscribers:
- Credential storage. FTP/SFTP credentials you provide are stored in encrypted form. You are responsible for ensuring the credentials you provide are accurate and current. If your FTP/SFTP credentials change, you must update them in your StormMic dashboard promptly.
- Configuration. Initial setup of automated delivery requires a configuration call with StormMic support to ensure proper file naming, delivery paths, and scheduling are configured for your automation system.
- Delivery is best-effort. Scheduled delivery of audio files is provided on a best-effort basis. StormMic does not guarantee a specific uptime SLA for automated delivery and is not liable for missed delivery windows, automation system failures, or transmission errors beyond StormMic's control.
- User responsibility. You are responsible for ensuring your automation system is configured to accept the delivered files. StormMic is not liable for incorrect filenames, incompatible file formats on the receiving end, or failures caused by your automation vendor's system.
- Vendor compliance. You must comply with your automation vendor's terms of service, acceptable use policies, and any applicable licensing requirements for files delivered to their systems.
- Credential changes. If your FTP/SFTP credentials are changed without updating them in your StormMic dashboard, deliveries will fail until the credentials are corrected. StormMic is not responsible for missed deliveries due to outdated credentials.
16Changes to Terms
StormMic reserves the right to update or modify these Terms of Service at any time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by:
- Sending an email to the address associated with your account
- Displaying a notice within the StormMic dashboard
- Updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page
Your continued use of StormMic after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. If you disagree with the updated terms, you must stop using the service and cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.
We encourage you to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.
17Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Indiana, except as otherwise provided in the Dispute Resolution & Arbitration section (Section 13). You consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts and waive any objection to venue or inconvenient forum.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and StormMic regarding your use of the service.
